The Greater Algonac Chamber of Commerce membership encompasses all facets of these communities. Our Chamber's purpose is to enrich our communities, showcase our assets, encourage growth, both business and residential, and perpetuate these goals.
Our mission
is to take a leadership role in the development and growth of the Greater Algonac business community while promoting a positive atmosphere of cooperation between business, schools, government, and the community at large
SHOP AND DINE LOCAL
The Greater Algonac Chamber of Commerce, with the backing of the Algonac DDA, Clay Township DDA started the Shop and Dine Local campaign. We distributed over 40 shop local signs and have advertised the advantages for people to spend their dollars local.
Why Buy Local?
Local businesses produce more income, jobs, and tax receipts for local communities.
Local businesses are more likely to utilize local ads, banks and other services.
Local businesses donate more money to nonprofits and are more accountable to their local communities.
Supporting local businesses preserves the economic diversity of our communities and the unique character of our neighborhoods.
Supporting local businesses is good for the environment, because it cuts down on fuel consumption. Buying locally produced goods reduces the need to ship goods from thousands of miles away and also cuts down on the distances shoppers travel.
