Established in 1988 by Helen and Jerry Meldrum, it was originally the family home of Dr. Campbell. Totally remodeled, this motel started with two rooms but now offers six. Fully equipped kitchenettes with separate bedrooms are also available. Located in the heart of Algonac overlooking the City Park and Boardwalk with a great view of the river. 3. Algonac State Park
8732 N. River Rd, Marine City, MI 48001 (810) 765-5605 The Algonac State Park contains approximately 1,300 acres of multiple-use land. Facilities include: 296 modern campsites with toilets, showers, and electrical hookups; a day use area; boat launch; archery and trap ranges. Located on the St. Clair River approximately three miles north of Algonac. The park is open all year for a variety of activities. Camping fee is $20 per night for riverfront and $14 per night for wagon wheel. Additionally, al l motor vehicles brought into the park are required to display a State Park Motor Vehicle Permit, which are available in all Michigan State Parks.
